TFL: From Idea to Action
Mike Holmquist is a man of many talents. He’s a dad, a husband, a life coach, a lifelong swimmer, a jokester, a juggler, a lawyer, a card-carrying ice-cream eater, a banker, a networker, an encourager, an idea guy. He’s also a man of faith, which is the most important thing he’d like you to know about him.
But second to his faith, my dad is passionate about his life philosophy, Taper for Life (#TFL). It’s been in active development for over five years, and passively for nearly 60 (that is, his whole life).
More than any past time, my dad loves to talk. Chat it up. Shoot the breeze. Chillax. Gab while helping others do the dishes. However you term it, if it involves talking with a friend, a neighbor, or even (especially?) someone he’s never met, he’s all in. And he’s often talking about TFL, borne from his own life experiences with fitness, exercise, and injury, and those of his colleagues and friends.
Mike has long wanted an avenue to share about TFL with the world, something he could point his friends to when he brings up his life philosophy. But like many of his best ideas, he couldn’t act on it on his own. So this blog is it, mine and my wife’s attempt at helping him get there.
If you’d like to talk with Mike more about TFL, you know it already: he’s all in.
